The Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment has opened a public consultation on the Wild Salmon and Sea Trout Tagging Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2025 and Conservation Measures for 2026.

The aim of the consultation is to gather stakeholder feedback on the draft Regulations. An information note is provided on the proposed changes provided for in the draft Regulations.

How to make a submission

Anyone wishing to submit observations on or objections to the draft regulations can do so by email or post.

The closing date for submissions is 5.30pm on 20 December 2025.

Late submissions will not be considered.

All valid submissions received will be published on the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment website.
